OUTPUT DEVICE
If we talk in our own language then Output device is the device which gives us an out in many different ways like, a speaker system gives us output in the form of sound, a monitor gives us output in a form of information, A printer gives us output in the form of
text(which is printed on the paper).
But, If we follow the bookish language then according to it, An out device is the device which supplies information or result either in the form of soft-copy (i.e, monitor Screen etc.) or hard-copy (i.e, printed paper).
Some mostly common output devices are:-
(1) Monitor
(2) Printer
(3) Multimedia projector
(4) Speaker
(5) loudspeaker
(6)plotters
now we will discuss in a brief about above mentioned topics.So let start:-
(1) Monitor:-The monitor is the output device which give the output in the form of information.
or we can also say a monitor is an output device which display information in the pictorial form. generally there are two types of monitor and that are:-
⦿ CRT(cathode ray tube) Monitor
⦿ LCD(liquid crystal display) Monitor
⦿ CRT(cathode ray tube) Monitor :- cathode ray monitor is similar to television and its sized length is measured in diagonal length of the screen. These monitor employ CRT technology, which was most commonly in the process of television manufacturing.
⦿ LCD(liquid crystal display) Monitor:- It is flat panel type monitor found in notebook PCs. The LCD incorporates most most advanced technology available today. it is used in flat panel monitor screen, laptop, television, projector screen, etc.
⦿ Impact printer:- it use electro-mechanical mechanism that cause hammers or pin to strike a ribbon on the paper sheet to print the text. Two types of impact printer are available and that are:- dot-matrix printer and letter quality printer.
⦿ Non-impact character printer:- it is type of printer use chemical , ink-jet technology and electrostatic. these type of printer use specal type of paper i.e, heat-sensitive paper.
(4) MULTIMEDIA PROJECTOR :- It is an output device connected to computer and through this we used to project the information on the large screen . In this or through this information can be view by large number of people at a single time.
generally it is mostly use in offices for presentation purposes.Audio, video, image and animation can be prepared on a PC and using a multimedia projector, the presentation can be made interesting and lively . It is also use as a entertainment purpose, like in theater hall , many for many other purposes.
(5) SPEAKER:- it is the output devices which give us sound or audio in mp3 format. generally we use speaker to hear audio. some speakers are designed specially for computer, while others are for any purposes. The purpose of speaker is to produce sound that can be heard by listeners.
